1. What We Use and Why

We designed the Platform to rely on as few cookies as possible:

• Strictly necessary cookies. Cookies that are essential to operate the Platform, such as keeping you securely signed in and protecting the Platform and its users. They cannot be disabled without affecting core functionality, and they are exempt from consent requirements.
• Functional storage. We use your browser's local and session storage to make the Platform work smoothly, such as keeping you signed in, remembering recent activity and preferences, and saving unsent drafts. This is not used to track you.
• One analytics cookie. We measure how the Platform is used so we can improve it. To tell a returning visitor from a new one, our own server sets a single cookie named __Host-board that holds a random identifier and nothing else. It lasts 180 days, is set and read only by us on our own domain, is never joined to your name or email unless you sign in, and is never sold or shared. Our analytics provider also keeps a small amount of working state in your browser's local storage. We do not use any of this for advertising.

"Cookies" are small text files a website stores in your browser; some expire when you close it, while others persist until they expire or are deleted. "Local storage" is a related browser feature for small amounts of data. Our servers also keep standard request logs (including IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.

2. Why We Don't Show a Cookie Banner

A consent banner is generally required only when a site stores or accesses non-essential information on your device. Under United States law, first-party analytics that are used only by us, never sold or shared, and offered with a working opt-out do not require one. That is what ours are: the only cookies we set are strictly necessary ones plus the single first-party analytics cookie described in Section 1. We rely on our legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving the Platform, and we provide a one-click opt-out (see Section 5). We do not treat your acceptance of our Terms of Service or Privacy Policy at registration as consent to analytics.

3. What We Do Not Use

For clarity, the Platform does not use:

• Advertising, retargeting, or interest-based advertising cookies
• Cross-site or cross-context behavioral tracking
• Social media tracking cookies
• Session-replay, heatmap, or keystroke-recording tools
• Device fingerprinting for advertising or tracking
• Flash cookies / Local Stored Objects

We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use cookies to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

4. Third-Party Cookies

A small number of service providers that help us operate the Platform — such as our payment processor and our hosting, content-delivery, and security providers — may set strictly necessary cookies in narrow contexts (for example, fraud prevention, secure transactions, security verification, and abuse prevention). They act as our service providers and do not use these cookies for advertising. For details on how our providers handle data, see our Privacy Policy.

5. Your Choices

Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings — see the help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Platform from working, including staying signed in.

To opt out of our analytics, use the analytics switch on our Analytics Settings page. Turning it off stops our analytics provider from measuring your visits, in your browser and on our servers, and replaces the analytics cookie with a marker that records your choice; turning it back on removes that marker. 6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

There is no uniform standard for "Do Not Track" (DNT) browser signals, and the Platform does not currently respond to them; because we do not use tracking or advertising cookies, there is no cross-site tracking for a DNT signal to stop. We recognize Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and, on the Platform, as a request to opt out of analytics: when your browser sends a GPC signal, we do not set the analytics cookie and we do not measure your visits, exactly as if you had used the analytics switch in Section 5.

7. Changes, Governing Law, and Contact

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time by posting the updated version on the Platform and updating the "Last Updated" date. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes; however, we are not obligated to provide specific notice, and you waive any right to receive specific notice of changes. This Cookie Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict of laws principles; nothing here limits rights provided under applicable consumer privacy laws.
