How to List Your Home on itsFurnished: The Complete Guide

Listing your furnished home on itsFurnished means answering short questions, one topic per screen. Your answers save as you go, so you can leave at any point and pick up where you left off. Nothing is public until you publish.

Starting a draft is free. Publishing takes a yearly subscription for the home. Guests pay you directly for their stays; itsFurnished never handles payments between you.

What to have ready

You do not need all of this to start, but having it nearby makes things faster.

  • The address of the home
  • At least 5 photos, and phone photos are fine
  • Your monthly rent, and what guests pay for utilities, if anything
  • Any one-time fees, like a deposit or a cleaning fee
  • A photo ID and your phone for verification
  • A card for the subscription

What the flow covers

Each screen has a help link to a fuller guide.

  • [Home type](/blog/choosing-your-home-type): the kind of building.
  • [What guests will have](/blog/entire-place-or-private-room): the entire place, or a private room.
  • [Your address](/blog/your-address-and-map-pin): places your pin on the map. Guests see an approximate location, never your street address.
  • [Rooms and beds](/blog/beds-and-guest-count): bedrooms, bathrooms, beds, and how many guests the home fits (counting rooms).
  • [The essentials](/blog/the-essentials-laundry-parking-entry-and-pets): laundry, parking, entry, pets, and smoking.
  • [Amenities](/blog/choosing-your-amenities): what your home has. Guests filter by these, so check only what is really there.
  • [Photos](/blog/photos-for-your-listing): the first one is your cover.
  • [Title and description](/blog/writing-your-title-and-description): a short name, and what it is like to live there.
  • [Monthly rent](/blog/setting-your-monthly-rent): one number, per month.
  • [Utilities and fees](/blog/utilities-and-fees): what a stay costs on top of rent.
  • [Stay length](/blog/setting-your-minimum-stay): a minimum of at least 30 days, and an optional maximum.
  • [Subscription](/blog/subscribing-to-publish): a yearly subscription for this home.
  • [Verification](/blog/verifying-your-identity): your ID and your phone number.
  • [Review and publish](/blog/reviewing-and-publishing): a last look, then publish.

Why we verify

Every host on itsFurnished is identity-verified, and every guest verifies a phone number before they can send you a request. That keeps out the fake inquiries and scams that fill inboxes elsewhere.

After you publish

Your home appears in search and on the map. When a guest is interested, they send a request, and you talk it over in Messages before anything is agreed. You decide who stays.

You can edit almost everything from your listing at any time. The exceptions are what guests will have and the address, so check those before you finish. If the address needs to change later, contact us and we will move it for you.
